Photomerge
Although it could be used for other purposes, the main function of Photomerge is to create a panoramic image. This assumes you’ve shot a series of photos to be made into a pano. The Photomerge command usually does a pretty good job of creating a panoramic images from photos, but here’s a few tips that can help with success:
1. Shoot in Manual mode do you don’t get different exposures in each image.
2. Shoot vertically (to help avoid distortion).
3. Overlap each shot by at least 20%.
4. A tripod can help but is not necessary.
