Editing, when shooting transparencies or negatives, historically meant selecting the best one. Punch it, print it.
Editing now has a whole different connotation. The editing process is way past mere selection and involves an entire Gaussian galaxy of sliders, colors, sharpeners, plug-ins, beezelbops, and whoop-de-do’s. Editing is an industry unto its own, called post-production. It’s what we do after we “browse.” It’s fast, and sleek.
