I’ve always loved covering weddings, editorially. Notice I didn’t say “shooting weddings,” or “being a wedding photographer,” which is something I’m most assuredly not. But the emotional adventure of a wedding is always, to me, a great opportunity for picture making. The joy is real, and the pictures flow as easily as the wine.
Such was the case for the vows of my dear friends Gene and Olivia. The emotions were so effortlessly ebullient, the photos made themselves. Their love was powerful, and a joy to witness.
