IT’S OKAY TO BE CAUTIOUS
As I said earlier, I’ve started and grown dozens of multimillion-dollar companies. But I’ve done it as a reluctant entrepreneur. I have never started a business entirely on my own. Nor have I ever invested my life savings—or even a fraction of that—in any business.
And yet, I have succeeded. Over and over and over again.
This book lays out the way I’ve done it. It is not meant to be exhaustive. I will focus on the most important things I’ve learned. The secrets that have worked repeatedly—not only for me but for my protégés and clients. I will stick to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, as I understand them—fundamentals that apply to almost any business in any business environment.
I will help you design your new business, make rational decisions as you go, and reduce your risk to a minimum while increasing your chances of success.
As I said, entrepreneurship is not rocket science. We will build your business like a simple go-cart. We’ll plan it out, collect the parts, and put them together. I’ll show you how to test your go-cart even before we build it. And we’ll make sure you don’t spend all your lunch money on it.
