The problem of blind obedience to expertise is that it has become our default condition. To reclaim our autonomy and self-determination skills, we need to think for ourselves. We must begin by understanding the constraints that exist upon the expertise we obtain. Awareness of how our scarce attention is deployed is critical and requires we be cognizant of who or what is framing our choices.
