It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Despite the wide breadth of practical applications where unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) could potentially be used, very few attempts have been made to record audio files using UAV-mounted microphone systems due to the extensive amount of unwanted noise severely contaminating the recording. Major cause of such noise is the motors and propellers of the UAVs themselves as well as wind noise on the microphone and the ambient noise of the environment.
