General Configuration Directives
User and Group
The User and Group directives set the user and group under
which Apache processes requests. Resources to be served by
Apache must be readable by this user and group, but for
security reasons, system resources (such as the system pass-
word) should not be readable, and certainly not writable, by
the user or group.
If used in a virtual host section with the suEXEC wrapper
installed and properly configured, Apache will switch to this
user and group when running CGI scripts.
