It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
What’s on the Audio CD?
The one-hour audio CD for Audio Postproduction for Digital Video features platform-independent diagnostics, demonstrations, and tutorial tracks. You can play the tracks on the best speakers you’ve got and load them into your NLE. The tutorials, of course, should be loaded into your computer.
Voice or music demos have been mastered around –2 dBFS, comparable to commercial CDs. Most of the tone-based tracks have been mastered at –10 dBFS, to play at a moderate level on your system. Track 10 includes tone at 0 dBFS as a system check–turn down your speakers before playing it.
