Planning the Track

The most critical, technical specification is how the film will be heard. This is often up to the viewer, not you.

You can create a track so that everything gets heard the way you want. It just requires a little planning in terms of spectrum, time, and soundstage. With a little more thought, you can create a track that adds interest to your film.

An important part of postproduction should happen before you start editing. That’s when you plan technical and budgetary details, and decide how the track will get done.
