The Studio: Equipment and Wiring

Remember this:

There are specialized gadgets you can add to your system, to improve both your sound and your working life. Many of these gadgets don’t appear in video catalogs.

Audio comes in a lot of different voltages and signal formats and often use the same connectors. Just because a plug fits, don’t assume it’ll work right. Consult this chapter whenever you’re not sure.

It’s hardware. It will break. But many hardware problems can be fixed without a soldering iron.
