Abstract
In recent days, the development of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies in treating cancer has prompted critical upgrades in diagnosis, therapy, patient engagement and research that paves the way for a brighter future toward cancer care. In any case, progressing research, technological advancements, and clinical approval are fundamental to tackling the capability of these transformative tools. Moreover, breast cancer has become one of the most significant health concerns worldwide among women, and, in several research studies, the developments are undergoing to improve the early detection and screening modalities with the evolution of artificial intelligence (AI). Thus, in this article, the intrusion of AR, VR, mixed reality, and AI in healthcare for cancer patients toward breast tumor visualization, surgery using haptic devices, and detection of tumors using three-dimensional breast tomosynthesis were highlighted. The study shows the promising results in the pathology for the cancer cell detection and analysis of biopsy breast tissue using the microscopic images, radiologist to read the X-ray vision, ultrasound images for identifying the location, stages of cancer, and to spot the location ...
