Abstract
Healthcare delivery has undergone a drastic evolution from simple medication and a human centered patient monitoring approach to a highly sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI)–enabled health management with real-time analysis. Along with Industry 4.0, the fourth healthcare revolution has started gaining significant momentum in in the healthcare sector. The basis of Healthcare 4.0 is a cyber-physical system powered by intelligent connectivity, which is the combination of 5G, AI, Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and cloud computing. 5G provides ultra-reliable and low-latency communications that are crucial in realtime healthcare monitoring, IoT equipped with radio-frequency identification, wearables, and various medical equipment, sensors, robots, etc., used to collect critical health parameters from patients along with indoor environmental parameters, which also affect the patient’s health. Moreover, AI and big data analytics can provide improved analysis on the real-time data collected to trigger more efficient actions from healthcare practitioners such as pre-emptive cures, inhibition and anticipation of disease, and customized medication and can even be used in enhanced diagnosis ...
