Abstract
The integration of augmented reality, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence is transforming the healthcare landscape. Augmented reality’s ability to overlay digital information onto the real world is improving surgical planning and execution, enabling more precise and less invasive procedures. Virtual reality’s immersive simulations are revolutionizing medical training, providing students with a riskfree environment to practice complex procedures. Artificial intelligence complements these technologies by analyzing medical data to identify patterns and anomalies, thus aiding in diagnosis and treatment planning. The scope of this work is to explore the applications of augmented reality and virtual reality in healthcare, including their potential to enhance patient care, medical education, and healthcare professional training. Specifically, It examine the use of virtual reality in pain management, augmented reality in physical therapy, and the creation of virtual reality–based support groups for individuals with chronic conditions or mental health challenges. By highlighting the benefits and challenges of these innovative technologies, it aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of their role in shaping the ...
