Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on digital healthcare technologies. The World Health Organization has suggested the need to maximize the opportunities for such technologies to accelerate sustainable health development. With increasing stress on healthcare systems, it has become crucial to explore the latest and cost-effective digital solutions that can provide fast and reliable medical services. Metaverse, a cutting-edge digital approach, has enormous promise in the healthcare sector and can benefit all parties involved in medical facilities, including physicians, patients, and students. The augmented reality, virtual reality, and mixed reality are connected technologies in the Metaverse, which makes it possible to explore new avenues for the provision of high-quality healthcare facilities and medical services. Furthermore, as per the literature, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and computer vision are also rapidly evolving technologies that have the potential to influence the direction of our digital world.
