need for memory if all partitions operate at their maximum settings.
You assign processor and interactive power to each partition. They stay
assigned that way until you change them manually or they are changed by a
program that invokes the QYHCHCOP API. A partition that is not started keeps
all of its resources (in effect, wasting that processing power) and can be started
at any time with its resources unchanged from the last time it was running.
If the actual assigned memory does get changed while the partition is powered
off and this is an i5/OS (OS/400) partition, it is good to have the system ...
