Naturally, the most fundamental building blocks of the Fabric framework are the network architecture and protocol. As you learned in Chapter 8, Ethereum Versus Hyperledger, the network architecture consists of peers and orderers (group forming the ordering service) and agreement on a protocol to query, endorse, and commit transactions.
