Explaining what you do
If you have completed the exercises so far, you will be much clearer about your talents, your values, your purpose and your preferred archetype. The next question is, how will you explain what you do?
People often ask, ‘What do you do?’. One of the most forbidding answers is, ‘How long have you got?’. Your listeners probably have short attention spans and plenty of other things to think about. It is therefore essential to work out your message and put it across clearly, just as you would if you were advertising a product or a business. The aim is to be authentic, concise and memorable – face to face, in print and online.
