The Tailoring Rule
Finalized on May 13, 2010, the tailoring rule is designed to focus new source
review and permitting requirements on the largest stationary sources. Under
the Clean Air Act, any pollutant subject to regulation under any provision of
the act triggers additional requirements. For example, if an industry begins
making a new product or makes modications to an old process, they are
subject to new regulation reviews by the EPA for compliancy. On April 1,
2010, the EPA issued its rst standards for GHG emissions when it nalized
