in research, development, and demonstration projects to advance Canadian
leadership in clean-energy technologies. This includes a large-scale carbon-
capture and -storage project as well as smaller-scale projects of renewable and
alternative energy technologies. Three carbon-capture and -storage projects
have already been announced, costing a total of $466 million from the fund.
Up to $146 million will be invested over the next 5 years in projects under
the Renewable and Clean Energy portion of the Clean Energy Fund. These
