I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
RStudio
First things first: go to http://www.rstudio.com, and navigate to the Downloads page, https://www.rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download/page. Download and install the Open Source Edition of the RStudio Desktop application.
When you first open RStudio, you may only see three panes (as opposed to the four paned windows in Figure 13.1). If this is the case, click the button labeled e in Figure 13.1, and click R Script from the dropdown. Now the RStudio window should look a lot like the one from Figure 13.1.
