Introduction

The principal inspiration for this image was derived from the subject matter and moody compositions of film noir and the period settings of the paintings of Edward Hopper. With these influences in mind, I set out to create an image which would also contain a juxtaposition of some sort that would provide an interesting twist and imply all sorts of story to the finished image.
