Chapter 2. Techniques for Smarter Selection and Trimming
During a rough edit, you are not worried about the exact length of each clip; you are focusing on telling the story. From there you tighten up your story with each editing pass, working from the rough cut to the fine cut. With each pass you finesse and refine the edit.
Final Cut Pro has a wide array of selection tools at your disposal, the key is to find ways to get your work done faster using the right selection tool or a few handy keyboard shortcuts. The goal is to work smarter not harder.
