The system region

The highest 512 MB of the Cortex-M memory mapping is reserved for accessing system configuration and private control blocks. This region contains the system control registers, which are the registers used to program the processor, and the peripheral control registers, used to configure devices and peripherals. Code execution is not allowed, and the region is uniquely accessible when the processor is running in privileged level, as explained in more detail in Chapter 10, Parallel Tasks and Scheduling.
