Riot OS
Riot OS has perhaps the fastest-growing community of enthusiasts and system developers among embedded systems nowadays. The goal of the project is to provide a system designed for low power consumption, taking into account the requirements to integrate the device in larger distributed systems. The core system is very scalable, as single components can be excluded at compile time.
Riot offers wireless drivers and network connectivity, making it IoT-friendly, but takes a different approach on the system API provided by the other systems seen so far.
