It’s never good when it’s quiet for too long.
It is 3:30 on a Thursday afternoon. Elizabeth is working at her desk, minding her own business, getting work done (and more productively, since she was focusing on her strengths, and not having to do a few things she used to that were not her strengths; she traded those tasks with another person in the TEO shuffle).
Joe pops into her office—so fast and unexpectedly that Elizabeth bangs her knee against the desk. Rubbing her sore knee, she asks, “What’s up, boss?”
