In this chapter, you added staircases to the dungeon map, providing a clever way for players to advance to the next level. In doing so, you learned how to make new map tile types, and how to detect when the player steps on an Exit tile.
Now that you know how to add new tile types, consider the world full of new design possibilites: you could vary your floor tiles, add “fluff” decorative tiles that act as scenery, or introduce all new tile types that act as deathtraps—heroes like that sort of thing, right?
