ABSTRACT
Robotics is an open issue in its various areas. This chapter presents the
implementation of a high-performance navigation system providing an
alternative solution in the navigation area of mobile robots. It makes
use of parallel computation as a tool to improve the performance
of the navigation system, which is based on the method of artifi cial
