Gallagher Group, Ltd., in New Zealand has innovation in its DNA. The company was started in the 1930s by Bill Gallagher, Sr. who wanted to keep his horse from using his car as a scratching post. He devised a simple circuit that would give off a mild shock if the horse rocked the car. Gallagher built a company around electric fencing. His son pushed the innovation boundaries into other animal management, fuel dispensing, and security solutions.
