THE PILOT PROGRAM
Pole/Zero decided to pilot two small programs as preparation for using High Velocity Innovation on one of their largest programs. Pole/Zero makes military-grade communications systems and tunable filters. When both of those programs came in under cost and ahead of schedule, they had momentum to apply High Velocity Innovation to their next major development program, which includes 90 percent of their Engineering team.
By starting small, they were able to use simple dynamic tools, such as whiteboards, sticky notes, and spreadsheets.
