I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 6. BackOfficer Friendly
We will begin our review of honeypots with BackOfficer Friendly, often called BOF. This is one of the simplest honeypots to use. Its functionality is remarkably easy to understand and configure. In fact, some security professionals may not even consider it a true honeypot. However, its very simplicity is what makes BOF such an excellent tool and, in my opinion, a great honeypot. Virtually anyone can use BOF. It is an excellent introduction to the concepts of honeypots for inexperienced security professionals.
