I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Updates
The last challenge to maintaining your honeypots is keeping them updated. Updated means ensuring that both the underlying operating system and the honeypot software are current.
One critical reason for updates is managing risk. Attackers are constantly identifying new vulnerabilities and releasing new exploits to take advantage of them, exposing your honeypot to high risk. Remember—we must secure not only our honeypot but also the operating system against risk. Some adminstrators tend to forget about the operating system with low-level honeypots, such as BackOfficer Friendly and Specter.
