OM forwards these commands to a CP client, and then returns the responses to the AO
client. AO clients may be people sitting at a terminal, or they may be automation programs,
such as NetViews EXECs.
Another type of AO client is an automation client. In this case, and automation program, such
as a NetView EXEC, can join the IMSplex and enter commands to IMS. For example, if a
message indicating that a transaction has been stopped is captured, a
/START TRAN
command could be issued to that IMS.
