IMS MSC FICON™ CTC support
The multiple systems coupling (MSC) feature of IMS provides a reliable, high bandwidth
host-to-host communications between IMS systems. One choice for the physical host-to-host
connection is to define the MSC to utilize the channel-to-channel (CTC) hardware support.
On z/Series 900 processors, CTC bandwidth can be enhanced by implementing the S/390
Fiber Connection (FICON) channel support for CTCs. This FICON support could be
