So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
IIS 7.0 provides a comprehensive set of options for hosting application framework technologies, expanding this set from previous versions of IIS by introducing the built-in support for the FastCGI protocol. Together with other application framework interfaces including ISAPI extensions, ASP.NET handlers, and IIS 7.0 native modules, this opens the door to many application frameworks that have not targeted IIS in the past.
Beyond simply hosting application framework technologies, IIS provides a comprehensive set of features and management capabilities that provide an enhanced experience for any application framework.
