Sometimes, all situations remaining similar, the microbenchmark fails to perform since there is a significant change in the hardware parameters that are supporting the JVM. One issue may be the difference in the JVM version, as new features come out all the time. The JVM versions have different optimization functions and therefore, may produce different results when running different types of code.
