Considering the complexity of using exception handling, programmers often take the shortcut to error handling problems by swallowing exceptions. In this, they continue to process and run programs and applications by pretending there are no issues or inconsistencies to begin with. Seeing that monitoring, identifying, and solving errors at every step of the way is time-consuming and frustrating, programmers assume that swallowing exceptions helps eliminate further risks.
