It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Nun hast du es in den vorangegangenen Kapiteln schon recht weit gebracht. Wenn du so weitermachst, werden deine Programme immer umfangreicher. Da lässt sich natürlich einiges in Funktionen zusammenfassen, aber wenn der Quelltext irgendwann fast unüberschaubar wird, dann fragt man sich, ob man das Ganze nicht noch mehr aufteilen kann, um den Gesamtüberblick zu behalten.
Natürlich bietet JavaScript dazu passende Strukturen, die du hier kennenlernen sollst. Dabei geht es auch um die sogenannte objektorientierte Programmierung (kurz OOP).
