The robots that characterize the first generation, which began in 1970, are the robotic arms, programmable machines without the possibility of controlling the actual execution modes and without interaction with the external environment.
The robots of the first generation are low-tech devices; in fact they do not operate under servo controls. They are very noisy because of the noise produced by the impact between the arm itself and the mechanical stops used to limit its movement. The use of these types of robots is mainly industrial, in fact in those years they were used for loading and unloading goods or to make simple movements of materials.
