So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Monte Carlo applications
The Monte Carlo simulation is suitable for solving two orders of problems:
- Probabilistic problems in which phenomena are involved related to the stochastic fluctuation of random variables
- Deterministic problems, completely devoid of aleatory components , but whose solution strategy can be reformulated in such a way as to be equivalent to determining the expected value of one function of stochastic variables
The conditions necessary for the application of the Monte Carlo method are independence and the analogy of experiments.
