In this chapter, you read about the overall network management task. This task was divided into the functional areas defined by ISO. The chapter examined the use of SNMP and MIBs, Netflow, NTP, Syslog, DNS, and TACACs in overall network management. It also looked at the importance of maintaining network integrity through the use of route filtering and registries, and enabling or disabling forwarding services that may assist or threaten this policy.
