20.5. Conclusions
The discoveries in genomics taking place today will facilitate the development of more effective medicines, enabling us to solve individual health care needs more quickly. R&D at Novartis is actively being managed to foster innovative new solutions in health care. Innovation is not limited to research. Throughout the company, we are striving to build a flat organization with strong entrepreneurial values, based on processes for encouraging "out-of-the-box" thinking.
