Neural networks – the foundation of deep learning

When we speak of DL, we generally think of one ML technique called neural networks. Neural networks were conceptualized by trying to model the human brain. At the core of a neural network is the neuron, called so because it represents a single human brain cell. The following is an image of a human and computer neuron:
