When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
General troubleshooting
We learned the basics of the debugging process for each platform, but we never covered any techniques for debugging or troubleshooting. Just like profiling, there is a basic guide or list that you can follow to make you more efficient when troubleshooting. Use the following list of steps to help you troubleshoot your next issue:
- Console: The first place to look is for any errors that are being reported to the console. All our platforms provide a console, and you should be familiar with accessing it on your platform of choice. Does the error make sense? Are you able to pinpoint the section of code or item causing the issue?
- Google: If you see an obscure console message and are not quite sure what it does, then Google ...
