Delete the data

If we want to delete single or multiple rows from a table, then we need to use the DELETE command. We can delete single or multiple rows at a time. This is useful for deleting obsolete data.

Now, create the script to delete the record:

sqlplus user1/Test123 <<MY_QUERY 
set serveroutput on; 
DELETE FROM Writers WHERE Name = 'demoname'; 
select * from Writers; 

Save the script and run it as follows:

          $ chmod +x
          $ ./

The output will be:

    SQL*Plus: Release Production on Mon Apr 30 18:11:07 2018
    Copyright (c) 1982, 2009, Oracle.  All rights reserved.
    Connected to:
