A sequence can develop in four ways
Divergent 1, 4, 9, 16, ... The terms keep growing
Convergent
4; 2; 1;
1
2
;

; ...
The terms converge on a single value, in this case
0.
Periodic 2, 0, 22, 0, 2, 0, 22, 0,
...
The sequence repeats itself after a set number of
terms.
Oscillating 2, 22, 22, 2, 22, ... The sequence oscillates between two values.
If you add the terms of a sequence together, you get a series:31 6 1 9 1 12.
