So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Upgrading and Patching Your Application
When you are ready to upgrade your application, you need to start with planning. The most common mistake people make is underestimating the testing effort and project planning. The truth about upgrading an HFM application is that it can be very easy. You have to remember that all the application forms, structures, and rules are stored in the SQL database. So when you upgrade the database, it should have everything you had in your application before you started. Oracle provides a schema update utility that adds the fields or new tables that an upgrade might require. So after the install and the update to the database, you should be done, right?
