When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Infrastructure Challenges
AEG had a tremendously strong Infrastructure group. They were able to provide resources and support throughout the project. The IT team and CIO were very influential. They had quite a bit of influence over the business processes as they affected systems. The CIO came from a large company and was very experienced. The IT group insisted on providing a project manager to the team. He was new to this type of implementation, but was confident he could drive the project to resolution. One benefit was that they were not afraid to escalate issues to the project sponsor. However, he was not about to cross the SMEs. He wanted to move forward in the company, and making enemies with two people he perceived as in a powerful position ...
