Amazon AWS IoT is a PaaS cloud service designed for both consumer and industrial IoT applications (AWS-IOT). The platform uses serverless microservice architecture and a message broker for device communication and monitoring at scale. The message broker supports MQTT over TLS and MQTT over WebSockets in publish-subscribe mode and HTTPS in secured publish mode. Devices and applications mutually authenticate with the AWS IoT Core cloud service. X.509 certificates and private/public key pairs are used for IoT device identity.
