56.3. Manual Tests
Sometimes there's no way to automate a test, as you saw in Chapter 20 and previously in this chapter, as a Web Test. When this happens you need detailed instructions to manually reproduce a test case. Anyway, you still need to log and report the results of such tests in an easy and integrated way as explained at the end of this chapter.
These tests are simple. Team System will provide you with a template to fill in the instructions. Once you have them you can say your test is designed. Now when you run your test you will be presented with the instructions, and from there you can simply run the application, write a comment, and state that the test passed or failed.
Keep in mind it's better to try to automate all tests and only leave Manual Tests for cases where automating is impossible or too expensive.
