It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Strong-naming your application and thus safeguarding it from improper use is now straightforward to implement, and can be done completely from within the Visual Studio 2008 IDE. The Signing page gives you the ability to both create and set the key file without having to edit the application's assembly attributes directly.
